Pickup — Storage preparation

Gasoline or diesel pickup; adapt each item to your engine, climate, and owner's manual.

• Record mileage, service date, required oil specification, and planned restart date.
• Check oil and filter service against the vehicle's schedule; choose an approved viscosity for expected temperatures.
• Check coolant protection, battery condition, tires, lights, and wipers using the vehicle manual.
• Follow the engine manufacturer's fuel-storage procedure. Match any treatment to gasoline or diesel and its current label.
• For diesel winter use, review cold-flow prevention before cold weather arrives; preventive treatment does not repair already-gelled fuel.
• Arrange battery care and storage checks using the manual; record any leaks or repairs needed before driving.

For diesel cold-weather preparation, read the existing Clearwater seasonal guide and the AMSOIL Diesel Cold Flow label. Do not substitute a gasoline stabilizer.

• Review the storage record and remove any covers or obstructions before starting.
• Inspect for leaks, damaged hoses, wiring damage, and obstructions at the air intake and exhaust.
• Check oil, coolant, and other specified fluid levels with the vehicle in the condition required by its manual.
• Check tire pressures and condition, battery, lights, wipers, and brakes before road use.
• Follow the manufacturer's restart procedure; investigate warning lights, unusual noises, or leaks before driving.
• Record current mileage and the next service date or mileage from the applicable schedule.

For diesel cold-weather preparation, read the existing Clearwater seasonal guide and the AMSOIL Diesel Cold Flow label. Do not substitute a gasoline stabilizer.

Boat — Storage preparation

Engine and drive designs differ. Use your marine engine and boat manuals for the exact winterization procedure.

• Record the engine model, two- or four-stroke design, drive type, hours, and storage date.
• Complete the prescribed lower-unit or drive-lubricant service; have water or metal contamination investigated.
• Service four-stroke engine oil and filter as directed; use the specified two-stroke oil procedure for a two-stroke engine.
• Follow the manufacturer's fuel-system and fogging instructions, including whether fogging is permitted for this engine.
• Complete the specified cooling-system draining or freeze-protection procedure; arrange qualified service if unsure.
• Follow battery-care and boat-storage instructions, and record which plugs, hoses, and covers need attention at restart.

This planning sheet is not a complete winterization procedure. Freeze protection and fuel-vapor precautions are specific to the boat and engine.

• Check steering, controls, battery, and required onboard safety equipment before use.

For gasoline mowing equipment. Confirm whether the engine is two- or four-stroke before selecting lubricant.

• Disable starting as instructed in the manual before cleaning or working near blades.
• Remove grass and debris, clean and dry the mower, and inspect for damage.
• Complete the specified oil and filter service for a four-stroke engine; use the correct fuel/oil procedure for a two-stroke.
• Follow the engine's fuel-storage instructions: draining and treated-fuel storage are not interchangeable procedures.
• Inspect the air filter and battery if fitted; store as directed and record spring service needs.

• Check the required oil service, including any separate break-in interval; keep suitable oil available.
• Inspect the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines according to the manual.
• Follow the manufacturer's fuel-storage procedure; use fresh fuel and compatible treatment only as directed.
• Clean the unit when cool and inspect for leaks; arrange battery care if fitted.
• Label the storage date and next inspection or exercise date; keep the operating instructions with the unit.

• Follow the prescribed startup and test procedure; shut down and allow cooling before refueling.
• Record hours, test results, and the next oil service or inspection date.
